About Our Pack

OUR STORY

Pack 3037 started in the 1970's and has a rich history of teaching youth from the kindergarten to fifth grade. We are part of the River District of the Cherokee Area Council, Scouts BSA. Our Pack is sponsored by the East Ridge Residence Home.

Our main goal is to ensure that our Cub Scouts have fun, while learning valuable skills that will serve them throughout their lives! We do this by teaching our Scouts outdoor skills, sportsmanship, how to work with others, citizenship and more.

GOOD TO KNOW

We hold our monthly pack meetings usually on the 4th Thursday of each month on at Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church. Our dens meet every Tuesday from 6 to 7PM at Wesley Memorial UMC. In addition to monthly den and pack meetings, Scouts have the opportunity to participate in “go-see-it” activities, service projects, family campouts, summertime Pack activities and summer camp.

Each year, our pack raises funds to support our program by selling moon pies and camp cards. This income supports annual funds that goes towards programming and activities for each Scout.

Parent Participation Agreement

ScoutsBSA is a family activity. Within Pack 3037, it is our policy to have parents participate actively along with their Scout(s). A parent/guardian must be present and an active participant in ALL den and pack activities. This policy is for ALL ranks within the pack and will ensure that our Scouts are able to learn and grow in a safe and focused environment.

Please be mindful to keep cell phone use to a minimum during Scouting events. We also ask that you do not use laptops or any other electronic devices during the events for things other than Scouting purposes. Scouting is a family adventure - families will get more out of the lifelong lessons and experiences acquired during Scouting events if everyone is actively participating.
